Probably the most detailed paper/work on the mining history of the deposit published in 2017 but still relevant. Never connected to the rail network, ran out of high-grade oxides, too much water for the technology of the time, blast furnaces ran out of wood, ran out of workers in WW1 and WW2, modern mining companies always fighting fires on operations elsewhere, typical story. The author says the top part looks exactly like the top of the CSA mine, never closed off down plunge, and downhole EM suggests more stuff down-dip and plunge.
