The deal will be announced..... and if it's a complete buy out , you get whatever the buying compare agrees to pay in cash per share (your shares will be replaced by cash) and if it's a stock deal than you get the shares of buying company to reflect the deal value....
If it's not a buy out and let's say a licence deal, the shares will appreciate in value based on how the market will see the deal....
