Hi DeeDeeZee…X
So sorry to hear of your pain mate. Came off my mountain bike and busted some ribs a while ago and your description of the pain came flooding back to me. I’m getting too old for all that crap too! Don’t bounce as well as I used to did…..
The full press release is here mate..

But the main points are…
• Cholesterol-Lowering Program advances:
- New data from in vivo cholesterol study showed NYX-PCSK9i significantly increased plasma PCSK9 levels, supporting the mechanism of action of Nyrada’s compound
- Treatment with NYX-PCSK9i also significantly increased the number of receptors responsible for removing cholesterol from the bloodstream, enhancing cholesterol clearance from the body
- Composition of matter patent granted for PCSK9 inhibitor technology by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- Preclinical studies expected to be completed by mid-CY2022 ahead of Phase I first- in-human study
• Brain Injury Program progress:
- Testing of NYR-BI01 in WRAIR’s Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) animal model is underway, with initial results expected before the end of the year
- Phase I first-in-human study anticipated to commence second half of CY2022
• Robust cash position of A$12.4 million
Arguably…. The biggest item is the cholesterol news. Massive potential worldwide, patent granted and about 8months away from the start of a phase one trial.
But no slouch either is the brain injury news that we should get some early results from the Walter Reed Hospital within two months.
and…. Still got a good few bucks in the bank too.
If either one of these two technologies is commercially successful then BOOOOOOM!! ….the company is made. But if BOTH manage to jump that hurdle….. well….
All I can say is… with a present market Cap of 40 million dollars… this could be viewed as a rather good racing bet. Not sure that I know many major drug companies that have two such promising horses in their stables.
If that thought doesn’t make you feel a bit better mate…. you may need stronger pain killers. (GRIN)
Get well soon.
