There is a bit of a pattern where beaten down stocks can face even more sellling pressure in June because the seller can crystallize the loss to offset against gains elsewhere. As an example, last month I shifted my underperforming stocks into my superannuation account (including a bunch of WOA that I bought above $1). I didn't actually sell them, but it means I can realize the capital loss this fin year and reduce my taxable income, while my super fund gets them at a lower average price.
The reverse side of this equation is true...In July you can see in increase in buying as they buy back in to those beaten down stocks and start the cycle again with a lower average price.
