Im with you ladytradr have been watching OBM a while and am now on board. Its the quiet achievers that set about making the unsexy changes within that first improve business metrics ie cost reduction, ore grade increase and throughput increase. Just getting the basics right and then propel from there into something more aggressive but they aren’t just going for broke. They are doing the astute things first to shore up that free cash flow and the balance sheet. Then they can look at acquisitions, or potentially other m& a options. And these are the sort of things that bring re rates. They bottomed out at 3c and have risen well and now just correcting but it is fantastic value given the results and changes that are actually occurring. The time where they said the changes were planned vs now where you can actually comfortably say that the plan is being implemented and is already yielding results in the figures, this is when maximum leverage off a bottomed out shareprice combine with a satisfactory level of derisking/demonstration of competency, to present a great opportunity for investment which has limited downside and extensive upside. Not to mention macro them around gold and upside there, risk appetite for gold producers over explorers etc. if you are looking at a producer of gold and have choices between OBM and other producers, which one has the upside to improve organically before anything else externally happens? Retiring 35% of their fleet whilst costs for other producers are soaring, funded and expensed on the mine development to improve grade and output thus boost cash flow. They are the worst house on the best street and the renovations are halfway done but the listing price is still at levels that don’t account for current or forward looking factors. Management team is proven so I have no reason to suspect they cannot achieve their strategic goals. Watch out non-holders, one piece of news from left field involving a major player or something around m&a activity or additional exploration success etc, and you will be chasing the stock up very quickly. Not sure what’s to lose here, anything from 10-15c is very astute purchasing.
