He was "deputy this" & "acting that" & ended up "in charge" of HR which is code for couldn't be trusted with anything important. Did time in mergers & aquisitions which might be useful if Newcrest put in a bid for over OGC (who knows - the share price is low enough to invite a takeover?) . His CV is a one of a corporate nobody - fine for a bloated Tier 1 head office where he would blend in & disappear but as CEO of a troubled mid-tier - not gonna cut it.
