How was your holiday there?

I've been involved with this country for over 11 years - I don't need newspaper articles from sensation seeking journos to formulate my views.

The corruption that has been endemic in the Philippines has to be addressed - a task that's not for the weak, or faint hearted. Dutertes tactics are harsh, authoritarian, and an anathema to most in the western world. But they are working - you can walk the streets in most cities now, something that was inadvisable prior to his appointment.

But, perhaps you, or the media, have a better solution.
