When one considers that OGC is extremely profitable from very low gram/ton values, the finding of a superior seam with higher grade ore values represents a huge profit opportunity. OGC also has significant other agreements and understandings with NZ land owners in highly auriferous areas (including Bendigo) which they can develop over time. Whilst known JORC mining lifes are only up to 20 years in practice OGC as NZ's largest gold miner has a significant advantage over other gold miners in that operations in other areas of the South island where richer values have been discovered will ensure future profitability as inflation strikes
