Been keeping an eye on OGC for some time now, I'm glad that things are gradually turning around for them, both operationally and in the bottom line.
I rate all their Tier-1 operations quite highly, I'm defining Tier-1 using rough sovereign risk criteria as the US and NZ operations, and Didipio as a Tier-2 operation. OGC's model is not too dissimilar to Evolution and Northern Star's preference of acquiring quality assets in North America, except that the latter two companies exclusively focus on Tier-1 destinations. So West Africa, PNG, SE Asia etc. are currently out. However OGC is my pick to perform well over the coming 2-3 years.
Gold companies are in the doghouse a little bit right now, but the savvy investors will still see the potential. I might pick up some around $2.40 soon. WKP drill results look pretty eye-watering, potentially on the road to becoming World-class? Time will tell.
