You are not alone. I'm sure most on here could offer stories and resultant emotions akin to yours - not to diminish yours of course - so we all feel your pain. And also - this is important - I appreciate the honesty. We are dealing with, in some cases, life changing amounts of money here so it's important to believe the story of the stock. When it turns sour it's just horrible. We all work hard with the expectation that things gets easier and more pleasurable as we move through life.

I can't possibly give advice to you, I'm sorry. But when the merde hits the fan in my life, (and it has), when I sober up and stop crying, I look it in the eye, call it what it is, take responsibility for my part, then move on.

Actually, I will give some advice. Tell your wife. It will be horrible,you'll cry, be humiliated and angry, but afterwards you'll feel better and that may add some clarity to your capacity to make progress.
