OFFICE: AIR: Air New Zealand Announces Chief Digital Officer

Air New Zealand announces the appointment of Avi Golan to the position of
Chief Digital Officer on the Executive team.

Mr Golan is currently based in the United States and will bring a world-class
technology leadership focus to Air New Zealand as the company strives to
embrace the opportunities of the rapidly changing digital world. He has held
senior leadership positions in some of the most innovative companies globally
across a range of industries, including Google, Barnes and Noble, Olive
Software and Intuit where he is currently working.

In particular, Mr Golan is a strong product and engineering leader, with
experience in building consumer-based web and mobile products for a variety
of industries. He has led large and diverse teams competing globally, and has
had significant profit and loss accountability during his career. Mr Golan
has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and has spent his career constantly
involved in ideation and innovation of new technologies and creative
solutions.

Mr Golan holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Computer and Information Science.

Mr Golan is going to play a critical role within Air New Zealand to enhance
the new revenue opportunities that digital brings and to drive customer
innovation. He will play a leading role in the strategy to engage digitally
with customers across multiple international markets in a way that is
relevant to them through new and emerging channels.

Mr Golan will take up his position in the New Year.
