FSF 04/06/2014 10:19 OFFICE REL: 1019 HRS Fonterra Shareholders' Fund (NS) OFFICE: FSF: Fonterra Senior Manager to Pursue Career in Politics Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited Group Director of Co-operative Affairs Todd Muller has resigned his position following his selection as the National party candidate for the Bay of Plenty electorate for New Zealand's general election. Mr Muller departs this week so he can fully focus on his campaign for the upcoming election in September. Sarah Paterson will continue as Acting Group Director Co-operative Affairs, a role she has held since April this year. A permanent appointment will be made in due course. Chief Executive Theo Spierings said during Mr Muller's time at Fonterra he had led his team's efforts to deepen the Co-operative's networks. "He has strengthened our relationships with central and local government, industry and other key stakeholders. He has also driven the agenda for sustainable dairying in New Zealand involving our farmer shareholders. "Todd's family has lived in the Bay of Plenty for over 40 years and he has had a long-held wish to seek election as a Member of Parliament for his home community. "We wish Todd all the best in his campaign and for the general election and thank him for his contribution to Fonterra over the past four years."
