Hallenstein Glasson announces new CEO for Glassons stores
Hallenstein Glasson Holdings Ltd today announced the appointment of a new
chief executive officer, Tracy Shaw, to run the Glassons group of women's
fashion stores.
UK born Shaw has an impressive retail pedigree, most recently working as
general manager of Jag in Melbourne. As well as Australia, her international
roles include significant experience in leading fashion apparel in the UK and
for Edgars Group, South Africa's largest fashion retail company.
Graeme Popplewell, chief executive of Hallenstein Glasson, said the
appointment followed an exhaustive international search for the right person
and that Glassons would benefit from Shaw's extensive global expertise and
her product focus.
"We are delighted with Tracy's appointment and are confident she will enhance
Glassons' ability to respond quickly to changes in product directions and to
implement new initiatives to ensure we continue to provide fast, affordable
fashion. Her comprehensive experience in women's apparel will be invaluable
to Glassons as we continue to develop and our refine our offering. "
Shaw, who starts her new role early 2014, will be responsible for Glassons'
operations in New Zealand and Australia, totalling 64 stores.
