KATHMANDU HOLDINGS LTD - RESIGNATION OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER PETER HALKETT
Kathmandu Holdings Ltd (ASX/NZX code KMD) advises that Chief Executive
Officer Peter Halkett has given notice of his resignation, with his notice
period ending on 25 November 2014.
Chairman David Kirk said, "Peter has made a tremendous contribution to
Kathmandu in his eight years as CEO. He first led the company through strong
growth as a private company and then successfully led the company's listing
on the ASX and NZX in 2009. Kathmandu has continued to flourish as a public
company under Peter's leadership and in particular has grown rapidly and
profitably in Australia. He has built a strong team of Executives around him
and leaves the company well positioned for continuing growth. We wish Peter
all the very best."
Peter Halkett stated in relation to his resignation, "I have been with
Kathmandu for 8 years and feel the time is now right for me to take a break,
up to a year off, and then look for a fresh challenge. I have no doubts
Kathmandu has a very exciting future".
Mr. Kirk stated that, "Peter will work with the Board and Executive on an
appropriate transition plan. The Board will evaluate options for recruiting a
successor to him in the weeks ahead."
In the interim Mark Todd Kathmandu's current Chief Operating Officer will be
appointed Acting CEO for the period between Peter leaving and the new CEO
taking up the position."
