OFFICE: LIC: LIC appoints new leaders
LIC has appointed a new Senior Leadership Team and its new organisational
structure is now in place following a comprehensive review of the co-op and
its strategy.
Chief Executive Wayne McNee announced all but one of the new senior
appointments to staff, prior to the new structure taking effect this week,
with one final appointment to be confirmed later this week.
"With the new structure now in place, we can start implementation of our new
strategy, Toward 2025.
"This is the way forward for LIC to deliver even greater value to our
farmers, providing service and solutions which will enable LIC to be a
$1billion revenue co-operative by 2025.
"Following a thorough recruitment process, I am pleased to confirm
appointments for the roles which will lead LIC on that journey."
The new Senior Leadership Team is made up of internal and external
appointments:

Farm Systems)

o General Manager Operations & Service: Andrew Fear (previously LIC GM

late-August, currently Fonterra GM Mergers and Acquisitions)
o General Manager NZ Markets: David Willis (starting 5 June, former Managing

o General Manager Biological Systems: To be confirmed.
This follows the organisation re-design, which resulted in the
disestablishment or change to the following senior roles from LIC's former
Executive Team:

o General Manager Genetics (held by Peter Gatley)
o General Manager Sales and Marketing (held by Grant Lonergan)
o General Manager International (held by Jock Richardson)
o General Manager Farm Systems (held by Rob Ford)
o General Manager Human Resources (held by Megan Scott)
o General Manager Technology (held by David Scullin)
The new structure has been designed to improve alignment, accountability and
agility of the co-op, so it can deliver greater value on farm, with a focus
on solutions, emerging markets and an increased presence in the South Island.
In total, it impacted 58 positions and created 78 new positions.
