OFFICE: NZO: Management resignation

New Zealand Oil & Gas Vice President and General Manager Commercial, John
Bay, has announced he will leave the company at the end of August to pursue
other opportunities.

Chief executive Andrew Knight paid tribute to Mr Bay, who joined the New
Zealand Oil & Gas executive team in February 2012 after previously consulting
to the company.

"He is an industry leader. Since immigrating to New Zealand in 1990 he has
held senior management positions in a variety of energy companies, he is an
experienced director of public and private companies, and a former chair of
the industry organisation, Pepanz.

"John is a senior oil and gas industry figure with more than 35 years
experience, and I wish him all the best as he moves to the new opportunities
he has planned."
