OFFICE: NZX: NZX announces new Head of Cash Markets
8 November 2012 - NZX is pleased to announce the appointment of Amelia Wong
as Head of Cash Markets effective December 10th 2012.
Amelia comes to NZX with extensive experience in capital markets in New
Zealand, New York and Singapore. She is currently an equities analyst at
Mint Asset Management in Auckland. Prior to joining Mint, Amelia held a
number of financial markets roles over 8 years in New York, including with
Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital and Sanford C. Bernstein.
Amelia will be based in Auckland and will be the key relationship manager for
NZX's cash markets, market participants, fund managers and issuers. She will
also support the development of a pipeline of new issuers, and the launch of
new equity market initiatives.
Tim Bennett, NZX's CEO, said, "I'm pleased to welcome Amelia to the NZX
senior management team. She brings to us broad experience across the
financial markets from investment banking, broking and fund management, as
well as great energy and enthusiasm. I look forward to having her contribute
to our efforts to further grow and develop NZ's capital markets."
