Auckland 3 September 2012: Rakon Ltd (RAK) announces the resignation of
Chief Financial and Operating Officer, Graham Leaming.
Mr Leaming has been with Rakon for almost seven years, combining the roles of
COO and CFO. He leaves to take up a position as CFO at Skellerup Holdings
Ltd (SKL).
Rakon Managing Director, Brent Robinson, said Mr Leaming had helped steer the
company through its IPO and NZX listing and had played a significant role in
the company.
"We have been fortunate to have someone of his calibre with Rakon over the
past seven years when we have undergone significant development and growth
during a challenging economic period, "said Mr Robinson. "He has made
significant contribution to Rakon's global expansion into Europe, India and
China."
Mr Leaming said he was proud of being part of a team that had built a strong
platform for the future. "Rakon has extremely talented and passionate people
who will drive the continued development of the company for long term
success. The decision to make a change has been tough, but the timing is
right for me to continue to expand my career in a new role."
Brent Robinson said Rakon had agreed a long handover period and would begin
looking immediately for someone to replace Mr Leaming in his CFO role.
"We have a strong team in support, and we will take the opportunity to review
and separate the roles to continue the growth and development of our team."
