OFFICE: TRP: Transpower Chief Engineer to retire

Transpower advises that its Chief Engineer, Bob Simpson will retire from
Transpower on 4 July 2014.

Bob Simpson has had a long and successful career both within Transpower and
the wider electricity industry. He has worked in a variety of roles with
Transpower since 1989, and has held the Chief Engineer role since 2008, when
it was established.

Bob is President of the Electricity Engineers' Association, a Fellow of the
Institution of Professional Engineers NZ, a Fellow of the Institution of
Engineering and Technology, London and a Board Member of NZ Engineering
Diplomas.

Transpower would like to thank Bob for his substantial contribution during
his tenure and wishes him all the best in his retirement.
