OFFICE: TRP: Transpower General Management Change

Transpower advises that Howard Cattermole, Chief Financial Officer, will be
leaving Transpower.  He will remain in his current position until such time
that a replacement has been identified.

Howard Cattermole has worked for Transpower since 1999, holding a number of
regulatory management roles before he was appointed General Manager of the
Corporate Services Division in 2006.  In 2011 he was appointed Chief
Financial Officer, responsible for all regulatory and financial functions.

"Howard has made a significant contribution to the company, as well as to the
Transpower Board," said Chief Executive Alison Andrew. "I appreciate the
opportunity to continue to work with him through a transitional phase as we
recruit his replacement.  We wish him well in the future."
