Xero appoints Head of Global Marketing and Chief Platform Officer

Xero Limited (XRO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Wood to
the position of Head of Global Marketing, responsible for the design,
development and execution of Xero's global marketing strategy. This role
leads all marketing efforts for the company including the HQ marketing and
in-country marketing teams.
Wood was with Google from 2005, most recently as Google's Head of SMB
Co-Marketing, Americas and before that Google Apps SMB Marketing Manager,
APAC.
Xero is also pleased to announce the internal appointment of Duncan Ritchie
to the position of Chief Platform Officer (CPO), responsible for the design,
development, operations and support of Xero's online accounting software,
with teams around the globe.
The CPO is a new role being created to manage the continued rapid growth of
Xero. The functions were previously managed by the COO, who will continue to
work with the CEO on mid-to-long term strategic initiatives.
Ritchie was previously Xero's General Manager Operations, managing IT and
operations teams. He has held IT management positions for over 10 years,
working previously for Gen-i as Head of Application Management.
Xero's growth in staff continues with over 100 recruited in the last three
months, taking total staff numbers to nearly 500. With another 200 jobs to be
created by the end of March 2014, Xero is still aggressively recruiting,
particularly for those with development and operations skills.
