OFFICE: ZEL: Z appoints Company Secretary
Z Energy today announced the appointment of Debra Blackett as Company
Secretary.
Debra will start in the role on 1 June. This appointment has arisen from the
choice to split what was previously the combined role of General Counsel and
Company Secretary which was held by Meredith Ussher.
Meredith is returning from a year's maternity leave and will initially be
working part time in her capacity as General Counsel.
Debra has a wealth of legal, governance and company secretary experience from
senior roles within private law firms Chapman Tripp, and DLA Phillips Fox;
the Financial Markets Authority, ANZ New Zealand and Telecom. Prior to
joining Z, Debra's most recent role was Chief Legal Advisor to BP New
Zealand.
Z Chief Executive Mike Bennetts said he was pleased to have a candidate with
Debra's skills and breadth of experience.

will work closely with the Board and the company's executives to support the
Board's commitment to excellence in governance.
