Some interesting tidbits to spray your way like an invigorating cologne:
1. Look at our man's 16/11/2023 announcement securing agreement with Glencore:
The Board of Galan Lithium Limited (Galan or the Company) is very pleased to announce that it has signed a binding term sheet with a wholly owned subsidiary of Glencore plc (Glencore) global mining and trading company, for offtake for up to 100% of its premium lithium chloride concentrate from HMW (Marketing Offtake Agreement or MOA) and the offer to provide or facilitate a secured Financing Prepayment Facility (Facility) for US$70 to US$100 million, subject to conditions precedent being met.
Clearly the offtake and prepayment facility are all rolled into the one extended paragraph with no separation, ending in 'subject to conditions precedent being met.'

2. Now back to Glencore partnership on Galan's ESG webpage, and this jumps out:
Galan has entered into a binding offtake (pending completion of due diligence) with Glencore, one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies, for lithium chloride and/or lithium carbonate from production at Galan’s Hombre Muerto West Lithium Project.

3. Now back to Galan's announcement. Any quotes from Glencore on such an auspicious day? Nary a word.

4. Now back to Glencore. Word search their website for 'galan' and one runs into a wall of silence.
Same for their 2023 Annual report (9-Apr-24) and Sustainability report (16-May-24).

5. Sadly, Glencore looks like it is now not getting a whiff of Hombre Muerto West.
Yesterday's announcement has them merely known as 'the counterparty', failing to provide both an offtake and financing proposal, while Chemphys Director Alison Dai says:

IMO GLN & HMW could be on the cusp of being the lithium project others would love to smell like.
