There has been a further attempt to get a tanker load of diesel through to the mine. That took place yesterday on 26th March. Again unsuccessful it would seem at this stage.
The protesters now are also using a local order related to concerns about the spread of the virus as a back up to their demands that Oceanagold should give up and restore the mining site.
Oceanagold has also provided a warning to the protesters that it isn't phased by their demands essentially .....
"Recently the company's lawyer intimidated Barangay Captain Ereneo Bobola, saying that they will tell Executive Secretary Medialdea that Barangay Didipio has not allowed the entry of their fuel."
And so the "discussions" continue.
