    "The fact is if the plants are maturing earlier and yield is unaffected then at 1/10th of the cost than for traditional fertilisers (or even at 3/10th of the cost) means cost competitiveness for GPP plus the ability for farmers to get more out of their land. Full stop."

    The reality is that late flowering cereal varieties were developed for a reason. Which is to avoid frosts. Plant in May, get some growth before low daylight and cold sets in as a good starting point for spring, good growth through to October, then flower after the likelihood of frost is negligible. For the farmer the "Full stop." occurs if the plants flower earlier and there is a frost. Doesn't matter how many frost damaged heads you have, the yield will be poor.

    That's why I asked earlier about when it was applied. If you have to apply it in the earlier stages for the BS to be effective, but that causes early flowering, potential problems. If you can apply it three or four months after germination, less chance of problem.
