Ann: OHD Update, page-38

The way to read the Ann is:
1. Delay in decision likely until field trials completed, however, the positive is more farmers are signing up. Because it is essentially focussing on field trials the question is hydroponics (can this be part of teh Commercial Plan before field trials?). I presume the Commercial Plan will deal with that. Essentially, more results are required in the field to determine i.) how OHD compares to other competitor products and potential growth rates (lab results do not translate to the field but for hydroponics?), ii.) exactly what is the actual cost advantage of OHD compared to competitor products in line with plant growth (i.e. were the controls in the experiments as realistic to actaul conditions (note: for some products my view was they appeared to be as the controls did have NPK etc but obviously for wheat etc the issue there IMO was was the growing conditions a replicate of field conditions (i.e. the fact they are doing field trials tells me that there were issues there but that is a guess) and finally iii.) market conditions for GPP and how cost competitive is OHD against competitor products.
2. GPP has contributed important IP, probably at stages 4 and 5 of the process, so will be interesting how it protects these since its 20 tonne plant is going to be different to the base plant in the USA.
3. They are having another go at the R&D incentive.
4. They will be relying on Morabisi in the interim (and maybe SOP and REE at Robello) to underpin the SP until decisions on OHD are made.
5. Timelines for OHD continue to remain a concern.
6. Some positives and negatives in the announcement.
