What's this about 'near term' production?
So if Capex is 120m and Vitol putting in 50m for 65%, is RIA putting in the remaining 70m for their 20%?
Or will that remaining 70m be pro-rata, and will the IC kick in their share?.
Hmmmm.
Plus they are talking about all these other prospects, but from the wording of the 120m capex - first 50 from Vitol, I get the impression this is for developing existing discoveries, so where is the money going to come from to drill those? I can see RIA with 5% of this block in a couple of years time, and they why bother.
I really get the feeling that RIA have given away too much of this block for too little and the company will have terms dictated to it in coming years which will see it's share continue to diminish. Congrats to Vitol though, RIA was in a difficult place and they took advantage of it. They will make a killing on this.
And what of being 'refocused' yet 'reviewing other opportunities'? Could be good depending on the opp, but maybe a loss of focus again? Must just be me that sees it that way. I think whatever opportunities arise on this front are the REAL future for RIA as out stake in the IC is so nominal and will likely get more so.
Any other views on the content of this placement wrt to outcomes in coming years?
