Things getting interesting next door...
Holes 4 and 5, which are also on the edge of AKE's tenements, are currently at 787.5m and 650m depth respectively and still going. They are both in what AKE has called the 'UH5' or deep sand unit, with Hole 4 hitting 315.5m (and counting) and Hole 5 hitting 254.5m (and counting) of deep sands. AKE said in page 5 of their announcement that "one deep exploration hole has been drilled at the north end of the production area to a depth of over 1400 m, without intersecting basement rocks" however they didn't say where. It will be interesting to see if next door can actually find the deep sand basement (drill rig dependent of course) and whether they end up being a takeover target (current market cap <$100m) for the NewCo, LAC, or another player.
