Olympic Dam uses about 140MW at peak, about 100-110MW average over the day (as announced in the BBP release, and consistent with my experience).
After the expansion my understanding is its use will rise to approx 180MW ave.
This contract is only for the 2 years, and therefore only 2yrs at 105 MW. Sure, it could be extended, but it could be lost for the same reason someone else (STO, TRU?) just lost it.
So, this is 12.5% of BBP's capacity (in SA), about 15% of its SA output. No, I wouldn't have thought that was a major amount, nor enough to asset sales prices. Even if it is way out of the money.
