I recall Bec stating that the electroporation method was successful in that the usual inherent issues with viability loss (or cell death) was mitigated by the resting protocol she had applied. According to ChatGPT, tonic signaling can be indirectly caused by electroporation but not directly. It appears to be more directly associated with the CAR construct, as per the Chatty response I posted a few months ago:-



The data that Bec presented in the Thermo Fisher presentation, stacked up fine until the last intervention which was disarming the CAR-T cells before re-arming.... well that was my interpretation of it anyway. And, clearly not an easy, singular fix but, hopefully, worthwhile enough to see the technology live up to its former glory in terms of potential!

You make some great points, al-black. i can't wait to learn more about the research our collabs have undertaken over the last 12 months or more. Did you notice number of references to "CAR cells" as opposed to CAR-T cells in today's ann.

CAR-NK cells apparently experience fewer and less extreme issues with tonic signaling ... and we heard countless times how OmniCAR is agnostic on cell type but yet to witness it. So, it wouldn't surprise me to see more extensive pre-clinical data which involved CAR-NK cells (at the very least).
