I have to say it's a pleasant surprise. Perhaps it was a bit of reverse psychology to infer that the issues were possibly unresolvable and that OmniCAR was a "go / no-go." As suspected before, the game had to be played in reverse, especially given the leadership changeover.
At least we don't have another technology permanently shelved. However, there are going to be further costs associated with its "validation".
