With every development step, Archer builds a concrete platform for exponential growth.
Being an ASX-listed company adds an interesting dynamic that's not often discussed. Essentially, they are required to release information as it materialises. Why is this so important? Because this disclosure requirement keeps them transparent and honest. With managers and key staff members being accountable to disclosure obligations, it creates a higher profile as we get to witness the progress as it unfolds and intensifies in real time.
Furthermore, being in the public domain makes it easier for them to incentivise their key management personnel, employees and gain easier access to capital for growth if and when required. Conversely, a private company is opaque. It has to spend countless hours convincing their stakeholders that they have made real process (if they have) or are on the verge of potential breakthroughs. All this with no clear peer valuation process and with a limited pool of investors to call upon to keep backing them rather than them concentrating on doing what they do best. Therefore, I’d much rather be backing a listed company, like Archer which I know is far more transparent and potentially is more likely to be supported in an economic downturn (paradigm energy shift).
That said, with ~$25m in the kitty, there is plenty of room for Archer to make the qubit readout milestone goal. If that happens, it will most likely we followed by a series of announcements and rerate that potentially could blow the semi-conductor market out of the water. After all, as Archer keep reiterating in every announcement, that they are one of a ‘few players in the world developing qubit processor technology’, but out of them, how many are working an technologies that have practical applications at room temperature?
As we leap into this new energy-economy world, milestones seem to be much closer than ever.
Patience will reward!
