Remember the whole purpose of a buyback is to buy the shares at the lowest price possible. It is not a mechanism to rerate a shareprice. The less funds the company spend to buyback the stock the more valuable the remaining shares are. Remember it is company cash they are using to buy stock so as shareholders we want them to spend the least amount possible.
