I think ethically if you have been selling down your holdings or intend to do so, then your sentiment should be sell and held. I expect I would be referred to the authorities if I were to ramp the stock just to sell down at a higher price.
Its like asking why people have a buy sentiment but aren't buying at that price and don't intend to do so, which I would suggest to you is a far more common occurrence as they stand to gain from such a sentiment, and it probably makes them feel better about their investment.
Each to their own, but I call it how it is. And yes, I have been selling down my holdings here.
