Gekkowolf, I'm inclined to think that persistence becomes an easy trait when the consequences of failure are potentially terminal, say reputation loss, ridicule or unemployment! Now they've reached a commercially relevant milestone I just think there needs to be a major escalation of their credibility and capabilities. Their core audience will shift from investors towards oncologists and reimbursement agencies, who will see through any fluff and spin. If their marketing strategy is based as an example on claiming a doubling of survival, referenced to a paper a decade old, they'll invite ridicule amongst a target group where data and evidence rules. I'm more than happy to continue holding but really I would like to see much more evidence of efficacy with this device. You wouldn't know it from OSL but this isn't as novel a therapy as is made out. The Chinese have been looking at radioactive iodine seeds implanted endoscopically into pancreatic tumours for some while, with OK results but not confirmed they do anything. There was a previous phosphorus 32 product (phosphocol) marketed that was put into pancreatic and other tumours but looks to have been abandoned. All can be found online. Hence I look forward to seeing OSL's future plans, clinical and commercial. They've had enough time to think about them.
