I think the SP gains are not an endorsement of the board.
The rise was clearly following the plug on "Your Money, Your Call - Shares"
There was a strong temporal relationship - and we do know that one of the new posters on this blog did indicate the board was going to do something. Maybe that was it ... but a quick plug on a phone call doesnt sustain a company.
In general terms ... why do companies have a board? and that leads to discussions on what each person brings to the board, how many members on the board, governance. The list goes on. See AICD if you need more information.
