A halt is there to reduce the panic selling in my view. I have held but I think I should have sold on the Iress announcement and bought back in if the deal failed if I still thought their future was good.

Same thinking. When i saw that announcement it was pretty much saying the proxies weren't enough... I guess just wait for the formal announcement. Dump on open and buy back lower. Thorney can't buy anymore without launching a takeover...
