@countthemoney - if you sell a business or anything for that matter on terms it is normal to check out their creditworthiness, ability to pay and any past transactional problems. As an ex credit /collection manager I doubt whether I would have extended terms to Sargon based on their history. However credit assessment is sometimes in the eye of the beholder particularly when other attractive gains are put in the mix at the time of negotiation. IMO that is what happened here.
