I have had discussions with a close family member that was involved with the Wombat wells outside of Seaspray as to wether he was aware they were dry wells, but from his knowledge and recollection of the wells there was gas present! Unfortunately the ruling power in Vic is digging holes in the wrong spot being useless tunnels and ridiculous projects instead of allowing exploration of gas and oil onshore to turn Yallourn , Latrobe valley from coal burning power stations to gas fired turbines with gas from the Gippsland basin, and on sold overseas to create real investment Vic, it is long overdue this lucky country reassess our standing on the world stage as we don't manufacture very much at all for O/S and there is only so much we can dig out of the ground to keep us moving, due to the clowns in power in Vic alone business are closing due to high land taxes and no prospects for growing!
