Fair comment. I'm sure you've got more experience than me. Nevertheless, I've seen several stocks fall below the SPP, and then go much higher in the long term (again, just my humble observation). Clearly, there's a difference between a short-term view and a long one, and the strategies involved in making money will differ for short-term versus long-term investors.
In reality, no-one knows the future. Certainly, regression may continue until zero, that's always a possibility, and not fun for anyone. However, growth is also a reasonable long-term possibility.
