Hi Ezirida and all,
I guess the issue - which I have learned the hard way over the years - is that once there is a guidance change to the downside it is often accompanied by further downgrades in due course. This is possibly due to overly optimistic management or, if I'm cynical, a drip feeding of negative news into the market.
Regardless, looking at the SP it would appear that the market is skeptical that 305k oz will be produced this FY. There will be money to be made / lost depending on the actual outcomes.
Harry - the list of gold miners that pay a dividend is growing. The ones that I am aware of on the ASX include:
(1) NCM
(2) NST
(3) EVN
(4) OGC
(5) BDR
(6) MLX
Any others that people are aware of?
