Two weeks where lost due to the side track if you look at the announcements 21st May and 4th June. we made little progress.
I would assume they took it a bit cautious after the side track to remain on target.
I was disappointed to read about the side track when I wrote that the error was inexcusable.
Since then I did some research on a couple of our other wells in North stockyard from the data on ESSER website.
I have changed my view a bit since then, even though they are drilling within a 40ft thick about 2 miles below them they set a pretty tight window of error of about + or - 5ft deviation from the middle of the zone. If I interpreted the data correctly.
So given this is their first horizontal, being conservative is probably safer than gunho.
