it was the hauling and processing costs that have made this project unfeasible

my guess is the cost per oz is 1500AUD (though no-one except C Daws seems to know this)

if you had your own crushing circuit then I would think that should shave $300/oz off the cost meaning a profit of 400$ AUD an ounce, and if you had your own mill the cost would come down further

they have proved they can get the ore to surface and the grade is there

they just need to lower their cost per oz

Plough can you please enlighten me on how much you think the Barrick Kanowa Belle facility would charge per tonne to crush and process?


and also how would you calculate the extraction per tonne cost to the surface ?

and the haulage cost per tonne?

would be much appreciated as you seem to know a lot more about mining than most on this board
