My daughter-in-law was made redundant this week. They were given a 10 minute heads up about a "Town Hall" meeting and were told about 20% of the staff were being cut. They were then told that those being cut will get an invite to a meeting later that day by 11am, those that didn't get a meeting invite were told to go home at 11am.
20% is brutal and a bit of a knee jerk in my opinion. This could have been identified earlier that they needed to reduce staff and they could have asked for EOI for redundancies from people that would have wanted to go. Seemingly even Team Leaders had no idea....
I used to hold this stock but sold for a profit.
