    It depends on metric. Lithium is still the most energy dense chemistry, but in stationary Battery contexts you are certainly right, there are a whole bunch of options. Cost for heavier and less dense chemistries can be cheaper and, in the case of flow batteries, have theoretically infinite recharge cycles. The caveat on that is stationary solutions that require a small footprint, in which case, like home batteries, Li bats go back to being the common option.
