The overall schedule shown in the page 12 slide (above) appears to have a fair bit of allowance for slippage and overlapping tasks built in. I guess it's more about providing guidance and establishing what SLX management believes is an achievable timeframe, rather than provide a hard production date (TRL9). Given that it's a new process, they probably don't know themselves, to high degree of certainty, what the true production date is. It's probably more based on experience to date with the technology. There may be a bit of contingency built in to cover events such as the reported delay to TRL6 testing. But it doesn't appear to be holding up PLEF work as noted by the purchase of land, hiring of employees beyond what I assume TRL6 needs, and the work they mention on TRL7.
In summary, I think the latest slippage can be accommodated, but if there are enough of them, then I would look for an update to the overall timeline to production.
I know other competitors are rushing to fill the U235 enrichment opportunity, but I'd rather invest in the best answer then the first answer.
