"Now GE is gone. Good thing. Very good thing"
Justin, I'm not 100% sure if that is correct?
I really do like this Cameco connection and there will be a great deal of money to be made from it, but it may not have happened as you think it did, I'm glad it has happened or almost at this point and the end has justified the means hopefully.
GE/GNF/A will still require a source of HALEU and they will also need a good supply of clean Depleted Uranium ( U238), as part of any MOX fuel in something like a Remix fuel, it has been said that the best place for a HALEU enrichment plant is on the same location as where it gets converted into a fuel for the next generation of reactors and also today's reactors.
I have been reading some past posts from someone who calls themselves Winni2 on a chatroom on a site called Wallstreetonline, what they write is a little hard to understand, but they seem to be alluding to the fact that it was Hitachi who actually pulled the plug on GLE, from what I gather? they seem to be saying that GLE was in the throes of going to a high tech US company who were basically in the DoE's pocket, it does sound like something that may be believable? I', not sure if it is true or not, but am prepared to keep an open mind on it? but from what they seemed to be saying is that it was Hitachi wanted no part in allowing a US based high tech company getting their hands on a technology, one which it seems would use it for military purposes? Apparantly Hitachi wanted nothing to do with that for obvious reasons perhaps?
This poster seems to know a little more of the puzzle perhaps than what we do?
Have a read and see what you think, (I was alerted to this by a poster called Popeye here on HC)
Have a read, go back and forwards perhaps pages 23 to 27 and see what you make of it?
it is a little disjointed perhaps because some of it was lost in translation? but I reckon the gist of the story is there just the same and it sounds believable to me.
So maybe it would be best not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
One thing it does do though is highlight how good our technology is?

Keep an eye out for another poster there who calls themselves Matrix, it is the same person whom we once knew as Sir Knight!
