IMO this is just another example of a grandiose scheme hatched by idiot politicians who have never worked in the “real world” but who have coffers of taxpayer funds at their disposal.

In the end, it doesn’t matter to them if it works or not; they’re seen as being “proactive” and “working hard” for the “working class”….which is a complete joke as it was Labor who signed away millions of Australian workers’ jobs when they put their signature to the Lima Convention in 1973.

So the grift continues. The money will soak away in the sands of endless meetings, travel, photo opportunities, salaries for the bureaucrats required to administer it and lawyers needed to guard it.

It will probably all be gone and forgotten by the next election. If not, it will be quietly knocked on the head by a new Government.

And we’ll still buy our batteries from China.
