I just watched the video again. The question as to what to expect from the second half of the calendar year was responded to by a lengthy response that covered a number of things they are currently working on. The G4 was discussed at the end of the response. I'm not sure whether Giles was running through his rehearsed blurb and lost track of whether question was about outcomes for the half or work for the half.
It can often be confusing about whether we are talking first half/second half financial or calendar year. The question was about the second half financial year vs 1st half calendar year. I would guess Giles may have just said calendar year since the G4 work won't just stop once the machine is up and running. This is the first machine of its type and there will no doubt be learnings and fine tuning required. I would assume the definition of "online" is when the G4 is available for project/customer work. There would (I assume) be testing and evaluation work prior to the G4 coming online.
Giles also went on to say the G4 "will come and give us extra horse power as we go through the year". He didn't say "2nd half of the year", but didn't say "first" either. I would hope Giles is gun shy about using the word "soon".
So for this calendar year we know BLG is continuing to work on the G4 RPCVD conversion with Aixtron and they expect it to come online and provide extra horse power during the year.
I guess we just have to wait until G4 work is complete and there something to report to market.
