There are billions at stake around the world on the three little letters 'RNA' whether it's siRNA or RNAi (need I bring up Petidreams current valuation of $4BILLION . . . ) so I laugh at our $30m MCAP. Maybe we really are that irrelevant and yes I know I am stretching the science by playing with the acronyms.
There are nuggets all though that update - well done to them for a punchy, practical progress report. It does seem like there is increasing interest again in what PYC have to offer with a few pharma types. As for Genetech - damned if they do and damned if they don't mention it - the mere fact that they addressed it must mean it is still a live prospect and I really hope that comes off cause that will be something like $3-5m as a milestone and that is a game changer. Great to read that someone is also back for more (any guesses - I say Jannsen).
I'm liking the punchy, involved, lead from the Board style that the new Chair seems to have so once again it will be an interesting 3-6 months ahead. It may even be possible that BioExec shows up to tell us that for once they have published a realistic timeframe! Ummm, OK, maybe not. Maybe ChrisB will give it a thumbs up - oh, OK not likely either. Just up to us again I guess - and a new CEO to talk about what the right valuation is. FWIW $4billion is $2 for PYC - how crazy is the Japanese market!?
